Migration Planner

Get an initial estimate of effort, project duration and transfer window for your storage or data center migration. All values are calculated live, nothing is stored.

Data transfer

Non-binding guide value for early planning. The actual effort depends on dependencies between systems, application and licensing topics, test depth, maintenance windows and regulatory requirements — we're happy to plan this in detail together with you.

Migration without surprises

A migration is more than copying data: dependencies between systems, testing, maintenance windows, cutover and a rollback layer decide whether the move runs smoothly — or hits daily operations.

The planner delivers a first solid frame: consulting days, project duration and transfer window. For detailed planning we rely on wave-based migration with a pilot group — it keeps downtime minimal.

Frequently asked questions

How long will our systems be down during migration?

With parallel operation and data synchronization, usually only the cutover window — often a few hours on a weekend instead of whole days.

What is a seed transport?

The initial transfer of large data volumes via physical media on site; afterwards only changes are synchronized over the network. Much faster for large volumes on a small link.

Lift & shift or transformation?

Lift & shift is fast and low-risk but carries legacy along. A transformation pays off when architecture or operating model should be reviewed anyway.
