Your responsibilities
- Design and evolution of SAN and NAS architectures for one of our clients — for example consolidating several data-center sites onto a new storage platform
- Creating high-availability, backup and disaster-recovery concepts
- Planning and steering data migrations (fabric redesign, NAS consolidation, replication)
- Capacity and performance planning, standards and operations documentation
- Advising the client's teams and steering the implementation within the project team
Your profile
- Several years of experience with enterprise storage — e.g. NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, Dell PowerMax/PowerScale, IBM or Ceph
- Confident with SAN fabrics (e.g. Brocade or Cisco MDS), NAS protocols and replication technologies
- Strong conceptual skills: architecture documents, migration plans and operations concepts that last
- Confident client-facing communication — from administrators to IT management
- Fluent German, good English

- Operating and monitoring SAN and NAS environments for one of our clients — for example in 2nd-level operations of an enterprise data center
- Monitoring, patching and firmware updates as well as implementing agreed changes
- Incident and problem analysis and resolution, including performance analyses
- Storage provisioning: zoning, volumes, shares and exports
- Maintaining operations documentation and handovers within the team
Your profile
- Experience operating storage environments (SAN and/or NAS) — e.g. NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell EMC or IBM
- Solid understanding of Fibre Channel (e.g. Brocade, Cisco MDS), iSCSI, NFS/SMB and backup processes (e.g. Veeam, Commvault)
- Structured, reliable way of working; basic ITIL knowledge a plus
- Fluent German, English a plus
